Thankyou for your birthday wishes and the cards I received from Patty, Lou, Ruth and Kim.

Well I've had a fabulous weekend and have been thoroughly spoilt and I still can't believe I'm 50!
Started really on Thursday at work where we had a buffet lunch and I was given lots of lovely pressies - a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a Â£20 M&S voucher, a bottle of J'Adore perfume and a Me To You Bear from all the staff aswell as 2 lots of earrings, a necklace, another M&S voucher, an orchid plant, another Me To You Bear, some candles and lots of cards from those I call friends at work.

Friday morning after opening presssies from Tom (a big box of craft stuff from QVC) and Sarah (earings and an M&S voucher) we drove to Mum & Dad's and then Dad became the chauffer and we all set off to Lytham St Annes, where we stopped for lunch and then got taken to our hotel for the weekend which was a fabulous place. My sister and 2 brothers had given me money to pay for Malcolm and I to have meals as we were booked for bed and breakfast only and what delicious food we have had. Managed to do some walks along the prom and spent yesterday in Clevely's where I got sunburnt sitting on the beach in the afternoon.

Sadly the weekend came to an end today when Mum & Dad came to collect us, Sarah was staying at their house with my niece. Before we left we had lunch once again and then had a short visit to Lytham.

Tomorrow we are going back to Mum & Dad's for a family picnic in the garden with my sister and brothers families.

All this has been Mum and Dad's treat and I can't thank them enough for the wonderful time they've given Malcolm and I. It's just what we needed!

BTW Malcolm's going to treat me to a pedicure and manicure and Mum made me an exploding box card with lots of lovely photos in it - will try and post a piccy.

So very glad you had a bit spoiling Cath with loads of presents and lovely stuff too. You deserve it ... and 50 is just the start of things!!! Take my word for it. Life will just get better and better.
